This was a one year project from November 2020 to October 2021. This project provided basic healthcare service to hundreds of children, women, the elderly and some youth in rural communities within Gushegu municipality in Nothern region of Ghana. We rented and equipped a Kia Granbird bus with four hospital beds, a medical compartment and a fridge and moved the vehicle with two general nurses onboard, a midwife and an assistant physician from one central location to another which allowed neighboring communities to easily locate us with their healthcare needs and get treated. We station at a community for one week, serve the people of that community and its neighboring communities and then move to another community, a distance away from our previous location. We also moved the vehicle to major markets in the areas we operated on market days for a wider outreach.
Funding for this project was through individual donors, friends and volunteers. Due to our previous activities and impact, we were able to attract philanthropist across the world who donated little amounts to our organizations paywall to rent, equip and setup our mobile clinic. We provided our services for free to rural folks who approached our vehicle for our services. We operated within the Katani zone, Nawuhugu zone, Kolig zone and Zamashigu zone of the Gushegu municipal.
